Job Description

The Examination Proctor is responsible for maintaining an optimal testing environment (in person and remote) and upholding the integrity, security, and fairness of all MS in Medical Health Science (MSMHS) examinations. The Proctor will be able to proctor exams in-person or via Zoom and will assist in overseeing exam logistics, ensuring compliance with examination policies, and supporting students during exams in a professional and organized manner.

  • Help with check-in and check-out processes in the classroom or on Zoom.
  • Check whiteboards before and after exams (classroom / Zoom).
  • Monitor exam takers during the exam (classroom / Zoom).
  • Ensure exam is submitted before student leaves (classroom / Zoom).
  • Help to troubleshoot IT issues and refer to Touro IT if necessary (classroom / Zoom).
  • Collaborate with other proctors to ensure smooth examination procedures.
  • Adhere strictly to MSMHS Examination Proctor Policy.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in an academic or testing environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with examination procedures and policies, or willingness to undergo training.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold the integrity of the examination process.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure and manage situations with fairness and professionalism.
