Job Description

Annual salary range: $92,248 min. - $138,382.40 max.


Reporting to the Vice President of Professional and General Services, this position is responsible for the overall direction of the Environmental Services department. The director has oversight and responsibility for all financial, managerial, strategic, and clinical objectives. The director ensures staff development, performance, and competence, staffing patterns, performance improvement, capital and operating budgeting, and internal and external marketing and communication for the department. This position is accountable to county, state, and federal agencies in addition to other external regulatory agencies for maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:

 

  1. Three years of experience in healthcare environmental services with management with increasing supervisory experience.
  2. Bi-lingual (Spanish & English) speaking, reading, and writing desired.
  3. Training and knowledge of environmental control practices and procedures.
  4. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field desired: master’s degree preferred.
  5. Knowledgeable in regulatory requirements: federal, state, Title XXII, The Joint Commission, and California Department of Public Health.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

 

  1. MAB is required to be completed on the first day of work. (Grandfathered: existing employees must complete new requirements by 6/9/2025.)
