05/27/2026 Additional Information: Show/Hide - Under the general supervision of special education and building administration, provide the speech and language services related to the needs of children.
- Provide individual speech and language evaluations/intervention
- Assist classroom teachers in developing instructional techniques in the areas of speech and language development.
- Communicate with administrators, teachers, parents, and students regarding difficult speech and language problems.
- Maintain communication with speech and hearing agencies and participating schools in areas of diagnosis and remediation of speech, hearing, and language problems.
- Perform such other professional duties as may be assigned by the Special Education Department.
- Standard teacher work schedule as set forth in the agreement between the Fairport Educators Association and the Fairport Central School District.
- New York State license as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) (required).
- Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology (required).
- Successful prior experience preferred.
- As per the current Fairport Educators Association (FEA) contract, based on experience and education.
