Summer School Lead Teacher
The Community Charter School of Paterson is seeking Summer School Lead Teachers to join the 2026 Summer Program.
Grades & Subjects:
- Elementary School: Kindergarten - 4th Grade
- Middle School: 5th - 8th Grade
- Math, Science, ELA, General Education, Special Education
Program Hours:
- July 1, 2026 - July 30, 2026
- Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 1:00pm
- (scheduled hours per position TBA)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize data from CCSP’s student assessments to drive instruction and intervention.
- Assist with the development of lesson plans.
- Deliver academic lesson plans as intended to identified students.
- Lead in classroom management while implementing activities.
- Support program administrative requirements, including student attendance, surveys, forms, and lesson plans.
- Attend all professional development, team planning, and data analysis meetings.
- Support all special education-related services during the program, including Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Advocate for the well-being of all CCSP’s students.
- Adheres to CCSP’s Policies and Procedures.
- Acts as a role model within and outside of CCSP.
- Understands and supports the mission, vision, goals, and values of CCSP.
- Communicate regularly with the supervisor about program issues.
- Performs duties as workload necessitates.
- Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
- Consistently reports to work on time and prepared to perform duties of the position.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate as a high-functioning, school-based team member.
- Ability to make significant contributions to an effective school/community partnership.
- Analyzing student assessment data and assisting with the development of curriculum.
- Implement a curriculum aligned with the CORE STANDARDS.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate (Standard, Provisional, CEAS, or CE, P-3 or K-6 AND Special Education Endorsement (TSOD) or equivalent instructional experience
- Bachelor's degree from a competitive college or university
- GPA must meet minimum requirements for NJ DOE certification
- Demonstrated mastery of content knowledge and ability to drive student growth
- Proven experience in enrollment management, compliance, and external relations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and standards.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The CCSP benefits package is subject to the terms outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for members that are subject to the CBA.
