Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) Opportunities Available in East Providence, RI!

Schedule: Saturday: 12AM-8AM, 8AM-4PM, 4PM-12AM Sunday: 12AM-8AM

**$1,000.00 Sign-on Bonus!! (Pro-rated for Part-Time)

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) help provide supervision and support to clients in our residential group home setting. We offer ongoing education, experiences and a supportive staff that emphasizes the individual's role in making choices to give them greater control of the direction of their life. You can be a part of a making a positive impact on their lives each day you come to work. You would provide hands-on, person-centered individualized care and support for our residents. DSPs/Residential Behavior Specialists work with a supportive team that includes the Residential Manager, Residential Assistant Manager, other DSPs and more to support up to six male residents in our home.

Education, Experience and Skills Needed: 

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience required working with individuals who have autism and developmental disabilities; 3+ years of experience preferred
  • High School diploma
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak in English proficiently 
  • Ability to speak, see & hear clearly/audibly, as well as write legibly for documentation
  • Basic computer skills
  • Professional and respectful communication skills with clients and their families or other parties
  • Ability to intervene with clients when needed to implement behavioral inventions including physical restraint, lifting and transporting in personal vehicle or company van
  • General responsibilities as assigned such as house cleaning, assistance with toileting/showering, job coaching, role modeling, etc.
  • Ability to sit, stand, lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend, reach and/or move regularly 
  • Valid driver's license for at least 3 years, with a registered and insured vehicle
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (We provide training if needed)
  • Pro-ACT Certification (We provide training if needed) 
  • Medication Administration Training (We provide training)
