The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.
Livingston is located in the village of Saugerties, making this location easily accessible to local shops and supermarkets within walking distance. There are eleven men and women residing at Livingston whom often work, attend day services or look to actively participate in their local community. DSPs at Livingston should bring excellent communication skills, patience, organization and an enjoyable attitude that will help one succeed while working with the people at Livingston.
A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.
HOURS: 40/Friday and Saturday 6:00 pm to 9:00 am/Sunday 9:00 pm to 9:00 am
STARTING SALARY: $ 18.26 to $ 20.09 per hour, with additional shift differentials as applicable
