Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Security Engineer to support enterprise customers within a Microsoft-managed services environment, with a focus on hybrid identity (on-premises and cloud). This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of identity solutions, including Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, ensuring secure and seamless authentication, authorization, and access across enterprise systems. You will operate in a hybrid delivery model, working closely with Microsoft-aligned teams to maintain high security standards, support identity integrations, and deliver services within an SLA-driven framework.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Design, implement, and operate hybrid identity environments:
- On-premises: Active Directory (AD), ADFS, WAP
- Cloud: Microsoft Entra ID, Entra ID Connect
- Manage user identity lifecycle, authentication, and access control across systems
- Configure and maintain identity synchronization and federation services
- Troubleshoot authentication, access, and identity-related issues across hybrid environments
- Support secure access strategies aligned with enterprise and Microsoft best practices
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams on identity integration
- Maintain and optimize identity configurations to ensure performance, availability, and security
- Support incident response and root cause analysis for identity-related issues
- Document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures
- Work with Microsoft stakeholders and internal teams to meet service-level agreements (SLAs)
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 yrs of hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365 environments
- Design, implement, and operate hybrid identity environments:
- On-premises: Active Directory (AD), ADFS, WAP
- Cloud: Microsoft Entra ID, Entra ID Connect
- Manage user identity lifecycle, authentication, and access control across systems
- Configure and maintain identity synchronization and federation services
- Troubleshoot authentication, access, and identity-related issues across hybrid environments
- Support secure access strategies aligned with enterprise and Microsoft best practices
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams on identity integration
- Maintain and optimize identity configurations to ensure performance, availability, and security
- Support incident response and root cause analysis for identity-related issues
- Document architecture, configurations, and operational procedures
- Work with Microsoft stakeholders and internal teams to meet service-level agreements (SLAs)
- Japanese: Native or fluent (required for customer interaction and documentation)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hands-on experience with:
- On-premises identity technologies (Active Directory, ADFS, WAP)
- Cloud identity platforms (Microsoft Entra ID, Entra ID Connect)
- Strong understanding of hybrid identity architectures
- Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, DNS)
- Ability to troubleshoot and support enterprise identity environments
- Experience working in a security-focused or managed services environment
