What is Draft?
Draft is an upscale American restaurant and sports bar on the boardwalk, where high-quality food, handcrafted drinks, and a lively atmosphere come together to create memorable experiences. Guests visit Draft to enjoy elevated dining, watch their favorite games, and share fun moments with friends and family.
Your Role at Draft
As a Busser, you are a vital support member of the front-of-house team. You help maintain clean and welcoming dining spaces, assist servers and bartenders during service, and ensure tables are guest-ready at all times. Your attention to detail, sense of urgency, and teamwork directly impact the speed, safety, and overall quality of the guest experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
Guest Support and Dining Experience
Maintain clean, organized, and inviting dining areas throughout service
Acknowledge guests courteously when interacting in dining spaces
Support a smooth and uninterrupted dining experience through proactive service assistance
Table Maintenance and Guest Flow
Clear tables promptly of used dishes, glassware, and debris
Sanitize and reset tables efficiently with clean tableware, condiments, and necessary items
Monitor dining areas to anticipate table turnovers and support steady guest flow
Team Support and Service Assistance
Work collaboratively with servers, hosts, bartenders, and fellow bussers
Assist with food running, water refills, and service support requests
Communicate clearly with kitchen and service teams regarding food pickups and needs
Support bar operations as needed, including clearing bar tops and assisting with basic stocking tasks
Cleanliness, Safety, and Stocking
Transport dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils to the dish area
Restock dining supplies such as napkins, condiments, and service items
Sweep and mop dining areas to maintain cleanliness and reduce safety hazards
Ensure restrooms remain clean, stocked, and well maintained during operating hours
Safety and Standards
Complete opening and closing duties using established checklists
Follow all sanitation, safety, and food-handling policies
Perform additional duties as assigned and trained to support overall operations

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
- Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, and lifting required.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items necessary for stocking, cleaning, and service support.
- Ability to communicate clearly and listen attentively in a fast-paced environment.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Required if serving alcohol: RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certified.
- Required: Food Handler’s Card, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Previous experience as a Busser or in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with high standards for cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to remain efficient, calm, and professional during high-volume service.
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Reliable, punctual, team-oriented, and guest-focused attitude.
Expected Hours of Work:
Flexible availability is required, including nights, holidays, and peak seasons. Team members must maintain open availability for at least two of the three weekend days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Testing/Work Authorization:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Valid U.S. work authorization required.
Pre-Employment Background check is required.
