Overview
The College of Business invites applications for the founding Program Coordinator (Professor of Practice) for a new concentration in Agribusiness. Agribusiness is a new track within the BBA degree program intended to serve the agricultural community in the Coastal Bend region of Texas. The successful candidate will be expected to promote and enhance the program track and teach within the program.
This is a non-tenure-track, renewable, 12-month faculty appointment with the title Professor of Practice located in Victoria, Texas. Rank (e.g., Assistant, Associate, or Full) and compensation will be commensurate with experience. This position is full-time and eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, disability, and tuition remission.
Duties and Responsibilities
The individual in this role will serve as a point of contact for Texas A&M University-Victoria, with primary focus on the BBA concentration in agribusiness. The individual in this position will be expected to:
• Teach multiple classes each semester of predominantly undergraduate courses face-to-face in Victoria, Texas.
• Provide overall leadership for recruiting, growth, and continued development of the agribusiness track, including course and program development.
• Work with, and be sensitive to, the educational needs of a wide range of current and prospective students.
• Engage in university and professional service, work cooperatively with diverse groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the dean and the chair.

Required Qualifications
This individual will be employed by Texas A&M University-Victoria and will teach face-to-face classes within the academic programs of the University. Therefore, they will need to satisfy the expectations of SACSCOC and AACSB in terms of academic credentials, as well as all other employment qualifications of the University. The successful candidate for this position should have the following qualifications:
• The position requires an earned master’s degree in business or agribusiness.
• As this is a professional track appointment, industry experience in agribusiness is expected.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of professional, community, and student populations
• Ability to plan and conduct activities that raise the profile of the A&M-Victoria agribusiness concentration within the community and industry
• Demonstrated sensitivity to students from a wide range of academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds as well as students with disabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
• An earned doctorate in business or agribusiness
• Prior classroom teaching experience in a higher education setting
Anticipated 12-month Salary Range
$110,000-120,000, depending on qualifications
