The Industrial Engineer optimizes manufacturing and distribution operations to ensure cost effective and timely delivery of goods by applying engineering principles, data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.The position analyzes current processes, outlines improvements in workflow operations, and implements installation to meet project goals. Further, Industrial Engineer partners with Operations, IT and Engineering leadership to identify and deploy future enhancements in systems (software and automation).
Industrial Engineering
- Analyze, document, and optimize current processes including layout design, inventory flow, and order fulfillment strategies to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain labor management standards using motion and time standards, MOST and time study techniques work instructions, and layout designs for operations
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, quality and maintenance to drive performance improvements
- Perform and monitor operations on the floor to understand the gaps and final goals of a process
- Design operational layout of equipment, workstation, and processes in addition to overseeing installation in accordance with the project schedule timeline
Technology and Project Management
- Serve as an active participant for automation opportunities including identifying the processes for automation, identifying technology and providers
- Assist in executing engineering projects
Support Long-Term Plans & Safety Programs
- Collaborate with the Health & Safety department to improve equipment safety and develop a pre-production safety review process that includes a design review to ensure safety and ergonomic standards are met before equipment delivery and installation
- Support tactical initiatives to optimize operational performance
- Identify system and process issues on the floor to improve productivity
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
- Master's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Preferred
Experience
- 2+ years of a combination of experience spanning the following areas: Industrial Engineer in a fast paced environment with experience in developing labor standards, automation, knowledge of WMS, WCS, PLC and WES
Software/Technical Skills
- MS Office
- WMS (Warehouse Management System), WCS (Warehouse Control System) and WES (Warehouse Execution System)
- AutoCAD
- Simulation Software Preferred
- PLC Programming Preferred

Base Salary
The targeted base salary range for this position is $ 70,000.00 - $ 87,000.00 per year.
Base salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the successful candidate, as well as factors such as internal equity, cost of labor in the hiring location, and alignment with market data.
