Summer Office and Engineering Intern:
The Mission Driven Research Office and Engineering Intern will assist in the day-to-day operations of the company while also contributing to Internal Research & Development projects, gaining experience and exposure to the government contracting services industry.
Roles and responsibilities include:
- Basic IT support and inventory management.
- Clerical duties such as data entry, maintain files, and organize documents.
- Address facility needs and maintenance, e.g., taking out trash, changing light bulbs.
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, software, and systems elements into a cohesive platform.
- Contribute to simulation, modeling, and data analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Current enrollment in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Computer, Software, or Systems Engineering (or related STEM) program.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a self-starter and growth mindset.
- Professional, teachable, and humble.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Reliable transportation.
Physical requirements and Environmental conditions:
- Sustained standing and sitting.
- Frequent use of PC, including typing and/or sustained attention to monitor.
- Occasional lifting of basic office supplies or equipment.
- Normal office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low-level noise.
