The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) serves some of Orange County’s most vulnerable student populations and provides support and mandated fiscal oversight to 28 school districts serving more than 600 schools and approximately 475,000 students.

Job Summary
The Orange County Department of Education is currently seeking a Coordinator, State and Federal Programs. The selected candidate will supervise, assign, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for coordinating and implementing Educational programs and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility; and provide assistance to higher level management staff.
The position supports the OCDE LCAP process by guiding LEAs in the development of Local Control and Accountability Plans and reviewing them for compliance with state requirements. It also provides coaching to LEAs eligible for Differentiated Assistance, leading data analysis and implementation of actions to improve student outcomes. In addition, the role assists school site administrators and teams participating in Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) and Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI), while also facilitating Orange County assessment and accountability networks by staying current on state and federal legislation, requirements, and updates to ensure LEA leaders receive timely and accurate support.

Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course-work in education, education administration, behavior management or a related field.
• Five (5) years of educational experience, including three (3) years of administrative services in a CA district or school setting.
Licenses, Certificates, and Special Requirements:
• A valid California credential authorizing instruction or service in a public school program.
• A valid California Administrative credential is preferred.

Salary Info
Certificated Management Range 32: Placement based on review of education and experience.
