Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Quality Inspector 2 to join our team and support daily operations while meeting customer and regulatory requirements.



Position Summary:   The Quality Inspector 2 position is responsible for supporting production activities with advanced mechanical inspections, working with customers on corrective actions and other quality items, participating in process improvement projects and ensuring documentation and records are correct.  This position is a key role in the functioning of the Quality Department and will be heavily relied on for the daily operational functions.



Education and Experience




  • Minimum 10 years experience working in a quality role.

  • Minimum 5 years experience working directly with Aerospace quality systems.

  • Minimum 5 years experience and demonstratable skill using precision measuring equipment.

  • Minimum 5 years experience working with advanced GD&T symbology, tolerancing and blueprint interpretation. Strong skills are a must.



Core Contributing Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities to the Organization




  • Perform critical inspection operations for first article, in process, final, and receiving operations.

  • Help other Quality personnel with day-to-day operations as a leader.

  • Work directly with engineering and production personnel to ensure quality requirements are being met.

  • Work with customers through electronic portals on corrective actions and delivery issues.

  • Assist source inspectors when present.

  • Perform calibration duties when needed.

  • Assist in internal and external audits.

  • Use problem solving methods to perform continuous improvement and corrective actions.



Physical Requirements




  • Sitting for extended periods of time using a computer.

  • Walking

  • Standing

  • Occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.

  • Visual Acuity requirements, corrected or uncorrected.
