Language Lab Teacher (Any MO 9-12 Cert)
Position Purpose
- This position is a full-time teaching position at Warren County R-3's main high school, Warrenton High School. This position will manage sections of a "Language Lab" classroom where students will access online curriculum for either Spanish or French. Knowledge of either French or Spanish is preferred, but a foreign language certification is not required. This position is being offered as a one-year contract.
Essential Functions
- Manage a full schedule of classes for attendance and discipline matters.
- Manage students accounts on the Edgenuity platform.
- Transfer grades from Edgenuity over to our Student Information System (Tyler SIS) for accurate reporting to parents.
- Run reports for student progress and update families as needed.
- Collaborate with building foreign language staff to coordinate help for students as needed.
- Participate in PD functions, parent-teacher conferences, supervision, and other duties as assigned by building administration.
Additional Duties
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Equipment
- Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
- Knowledge of the Google Suite for Education, Canvas LMS, and Tyler SIS systems is preferred.
Travel Requirements
- Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.
- Knowledge of English grammar, word usage, word denotations and connotations, spelling, writing, and mathematics.
- Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
- Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.

Qualifications Profile
Certification/License:
- Missouri State Certification in any 9-12 subject.
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
Education:
- Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
- Masters Degree preferred.
Experience:
- Successful prior high school and/or at-risk teaching experience preferred.
- Personal knowledge of either French or Spanish is preferred.
