Job Description

If you like variety in your day and enjoy working out in the field, this role offers the opportunity to work on a range of fire sprinkler systems while making a real impact. At Gardiner, our Fire Sprinkler Technicians help keep facilities running safely and reliably—while being part of a team that values quality work, support, and doing things the right way.

Essential Functions include the following: other duties may be assigned:

  • Perform inspections, maintenance, repairs, and system replacements for fire sprinkler systems in alignment with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • Service, inspect, and troubleshoot wet, dry, and pre-action fire suppression systems to support reliable performance
  • Conduct fire pump testing and complete necessary repairs to maintain life-safety readiness
  • Perform fire hydrant flow testing and complete hydrant repairs as needed
  • Document inspections and service activities accurately and communicate findings with customers and internal teams
  • Serve as a trusted technical resource while delivering high-quality, customer-focused service in the field

Qualifications:

  • State of Ohio Fire License
  • 4+ years of Sprinkler and backflow experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Comfortable using a computer, mobile devices, and service software for reporting and documentation
  • NICET and/or backflow certification is a plus
