Maintenance Technician (Full Time , Entry-Level)

Location: High Point Residence – Wood River, IL 
Schedule: Full Time, Daytime hours, Monday - Friday and some weekend availability may be needed along with on call for community emergencies. 


About the Role:

High Point Residence is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is an entry-level, part-time position focused on ensuring our community remains safe, clean, and well-maintained. Primary responsibilities include general maintenance of the building, equipment, and grounds, with a strong emphasis on floor care, garbage disposal, and overall building presentation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

  • Assist with general upkeep of the facility, including grounds and equipment

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, especially floors and common areas

  • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities and repairs

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a healthcare or residential care setting

  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
