JOB PURPOSE:



REPORTS TO:



Foreman / Superintendent



DUTIES



· Applies paint, varnishes and stains and removes and mixes paint. Also maintains painting on buildings and woodwork.



PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS



· Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within the painting field.



· Has knowledge of commonly used materials and supplies.



· Works under minimum supervision. Requires a certain degree of creativity and latitude.



· Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.



· Performs a variety of complicated tasks related to preparation and finish work.



· Requires excellent communication skills (written / verbal / reading).



· Able to lift and hold / move 100 pounds.



· Able to climb ladders (up and down including extension ladder), scaffolding and roofs.



QUALIFICATIONS:

· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.



REASONING ABILITY:



· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of on concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.



OTHER SKILLS:



· Working knowledge and experience with project plans, specifications, construction industry standards and building codes.
