Job Summary:

Eschenfelder is seeking an experienced Irrigation Manager to oversee our Maintenance Division and ensure top-tier service for our valued clients. This role is perfect for someone who excels at building and mentoring high-performance teams while maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses extensive irrigation knowledge with previous experience in landscape lighting and water feature maintenance, while also being an exceptional leader with the ability to manage, train, and motivate large teams.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead, train, and develop a team of irrigation technicians, ensuring exceptional service delivery.

· Act as the primary liason between the Garden Managers and Irrigation teams

· Oversee maintenance and repair of irrigation systems, landscape lighting, and water features.

· Inventory Management – Irrigation Parts/Weathermatic Parts /Tool Inventory/ Vehicle

· Work with the Irrigation Coordinator to coordinate project schedules, resources, and client communication to ensure seamless operations.

· Monitor work quality and safety compliance across all irrigation and lighting projects.

· Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement of necessary equipment and materials.

· Troubleshoot and resolve irrigation and customer service issues effectively.

· Develop, implement, and enforce Irrigation Department SOPs and specifications

· Conduct biweekly one-on-one meetings with all direct reports

· Manage the data and metrics for the Irrigation Department, including optimizing department operations to better achieve revenue goals

· Budgetary planning and seasonal departmental planning and execution – Geographical concerns/weathermatic controllers/ team responsibilities

Qualifications:

· 3+ years of proven experience in irrigation management, with prior experience/knowledge of landscape lighting and water feature services.

· 3-5 years of irrigation experience (dependent on education)

· 3+ years of customer service experience

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and oversee large teams.

· Irrigator License, NALP Irrigator Certification, Irrigation Association Irrigator Certification, Certified Landscape Auditor Certification, and/or Backflow Certification

· Competency in all Smart Irrigation - Rainbird, Racheon, Weathermatic, Hunter Online Systems and Websites

· Sales principles and process knowledge

· Previous Irrigation Design experience

· Exceptional customer-service and communication skills

· Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.

· Knowledge of irrigation technologies, water efficiency strategies, and regulatory standards.

· Ability to collaborate with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
