PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Pool Manager is responsible for the management of a single facility under the supervision of the Regional Supervisor. This position ensures the smooth, safe and reliable operation of all pool systems and personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Works closely with the Regional Supervisor to ensure the day-to-day operation of the facility.
- Oversees a team of employees and delegates responsibilities.
- Communicates regularly with Human Resources Management teams to provide updates on the facility, personnel and operations.
- Responsible for ensuring that the facility passes all health inspections, including opening inspection.
- Trains all subordinates in all facets of job duties and responsibilities to achieve team goals including company policy, facility maintenance, mechanical procedure, rule enforcement and customer service.
- Works closely with the management team to ensure that all SwimSafe standards are being implemented along with the Company mission statement.
- Sets up and implements staff inservices/training and best practices.
- Develops and implements customer service standards and protocol for the facility.
- Responsible for maintaining employee records, pool records and implementing staff discipline.
- Responsible for completing mid-year and end-of-year reviews to set expectations to improve and grow employees' performance.
- Attends training as required by Human Resources and Management teams.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:
- Organizes and executes payroll duties.
- Tracks employee bonus and raises period incentives.
- Work with Swim Lesson Coordinator to ensure swim lessons are at SwimSafe standards.
- Ability to identify and grow leaders of the facility.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
A background in aquatics and/or swimming pools is preferred, however, not required. Extensive training would be completed upon hiring.
- Prefer a High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong work ethic and commitment
ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class typically require: walking, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Medium Work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
