The Recruiter supports the organization’s talent acquisition efforts by helping identify, attract, and hire high-quality candidates for instructional, leadership, and support staff roles. This role is ideal for someone early in their HR or recruiting career who is passionate about education and eager to build strong pipelines of diverse talent. The Recruiter plays a key role in ensuring a positive candidate experience and supporting efficient, equitable hiring practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Sourcing
Support the execution of recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates across multiple roles.
Source candidates through job boards, social media platforms, databases, and outreach efforts.
Assist in building and maintaining partnerships with universities, certification programs, and community organizations.
Attend and support recruitment events such as career fairs, information sessions, and networking events.
Hiring Process Coordination
Post job openings and manage applicant flow through the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Review resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings.
Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
Ensure all hiring steps are completed in a timely and organized manner.
Candidate Experience & Onboarding
Provide a welcoming, professional, and responsive experience for all candidates.
Support onboarding logistics, including new hire communication, documentation, and orientation preparation.
Assist in ensuring new hires have a smooth transition into their roles.
Data & Reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the ATS.
Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, candidate pipelines, and event outcomes.
Assist in analyzing hiring data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Equity & Compliance
Support equitable and inclusive hiring practices aligned with organizational values.
Ensure compliance with hiring policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws.
Participate in training related to bias reduction and inclusive hiring practices.
Offboarding & Continuous Improvement
Assist with exit interview coordination and data collection.
Gather candidate and new hire feedback to improve recruitment processes.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (HR, Business, Education, or related field preferred)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (Docs, Sheets, Excel, etc.)
