Starting pay is $37.24 an hour.


1st shift hours are 6:45 am – 5:15 pm M-Th (some overtime on Friday)

GENERAL SUMMARY

To provide leadership and supervision of departmental production operations at WireCrafters.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS


  • Lead operations
  • Lead training and development of all production personnel in chain of command
  • Attain daily work schedule goals by managing resources
  • Direct daily work, quality and safety of production associates
  • Provide department leadership in continuous improvement efforts
  • Maintain 5S expectations
  • Consistently attain safety, quality and productivity goals
  • Identify and solve issues preventing goal attainment
  • Contribute as a team member for existing and new product innovation program


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Manufacturing facility/ warehouse environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Non-temperature regulated facility.
  • Constant material transport via fork lift throughout facility.
  • 10-hour work days, 4 days per week (Mon- Thurs) 6:45 am – 5:15 pm
  • Overtime depending on operation schedule.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Constant standing, walking through plant.
  • Exerting 50 lbs to 60 lbs of force occasionally, and/or 20 lbs to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects  


MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT

  • PC/Scanner
  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Standard measuring tape
  • Lift truck


Requirements

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Minimum 5 years production supervisory experience.
  • Shop floor experience desired.
  • Effective communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership and continuous improvement experience.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good IT skills (familiarity with Word, Excel and Email)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to read and interpret standard production drawings and job specifications
