Position Title: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Outpatient Clinic
Location: Rural Health Clinic – Meade, Kansas
Schedule: 4-day work week | Clinic open 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Day Off: Tuesdays
Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides outpatient primary care services in a Rural Health Clinic setting under the direction and supervision of a Physician. This role delivers comprehensive patient care across the lifespan while collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and clinic personnel to support high-quality, patient-centered care.
Practice Details
- Outpatient primary care with walk-in patients
- Patient population: Cradle to Grave
- Average patient volume: 14–18 patients per day
- EMR: TruBridge
- Open to new graduates
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical care, treatment, and orders for clinic patients
- Supervise nursing activities and provide medical direction within the clinic
- Collaborate with physicians on clinic policies, services, and patient care
- Review patient records with the supervising Physician as required
- Provide consultation and medical supervision to healthcare staff
- Maintain clinic medical staff coverage
- Participate in staff meetings and assist with training new employees
- Maintain patient and system confidentiality
- Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, dress code, and mandatory education requirements
- Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, integrity, and respect toward patients and coworkers
Qualifications
- Completion of required education and current licensure in the State of Kansas
- Licensed and credentialed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a supervising Physician
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
