 Position Title: Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Outpatient Clinic
Location: Rural Health Clinic – Meade, Kansas
Schedule: 4-day work week | Clinic open 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Day Off: Tuesdays 

 

Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides outpatient primary care services in a Rural Health Clinic setting under the direction and supervision of a Physician. This role delivers comprehensive patient care across the lifespan while collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and clinic personnel to support high-quality, patient-centered care.

Practice Details

  • Outpatient primary care with walk-in patients
     
  • Patient population: Cradle to Grave
     
  • Average patient volume: 14–18 patients per day

  • Open to new graduates
     

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical care, treatment, and orders for clinic patients
     
  • Supervise nursing activities and provide medical direction within the clinic
     
  • Collaborate with physicians on clinic policies, services, and patient care
     
  • Review patient records with the supervising Physician as required
     
  • Provide consultation and medical supervision to healthcare staff
     
  • Maintain clinic medical staff coverage
     
  • Participate in staff meetings and assist with training new employees
     
  • Maintain patient and system confidentiality
     
  • Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, dress code, and mandatory education requirements
     
  • Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, integrity, and respect toward patients and coworkers
     

Qualifications

  • Completion of required education and current licensure in the State of Kansas
     
  • Licensed and credentialed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
     
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a supervising Physician
     
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
