About the role:

 

 

We are seeking a proactive Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance or Electromechanical Engineering Intern to support laboratory operations, testing equipment, facilities and building operations, within a regulated medical device environment. This role will work closely with engineering, laboratory, and facilities teams to ensure equipment and electromechanical systems reliability in compliance with industry standards and/or regulations The intern will gain hands-on experience supporting critical infrastructure and testing environments used in the development and manufacturing of medical devices.


 

What You Will Do:

 

·         Assist installation, qualification, and maintenance activities for laboratory, testing equipment, electromechanical systems and building operations.

·         Support troubleshooting of electromechanical systems, including testing equipment, utilities, and building operations systems

·         Collaborate with laboratory teams to ensure proper setup, calibration, and functionality of testing equipment

·         Participate in equipment validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and documentation

·         Help maintain accurate records for equipment maintenance, calibration in compliance with standards and regulations.

·         Support facilities-related activities, including utilities monitoring (HVAC, compressed air, electrical systems, and building operations)

·         Assist in developing and updating SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance procedures.

·         Partner with cross-functional teams (Quality, EHS, Facilities, and Engineering) to ensure compliance with FDA and ISO standards

·         Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and lab efficiency

What We're Looking For

 

 

  •      Currently pursuing a degree in Electromechanical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance Engineering, or related field.

·         Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and instrumentation.

·         Interest in laboratory environments, electromechanical systems, building operations, and equipment maintenance.

·         Knowledge in problem-solving tools and analytical skills

·         Good interpersonal relationship, organizational and documentation skills

·         Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

Language Skills:

 

  • Spanish: Native speaker
  • English: Fluent in speaking, writing, and reading
