Job Description
Ready to take the next step in your legal career?
Join a team where your analytical skills, attention to detail, and passion for helping people truly matter. As a Personal Injury Pre‑Litigation Assistant, you’ll play a key role in preparing accident claims (RTA, EL, PL) for litigation — building strong cases, supporting union members, and helping clients move forward after life‑changing events.

This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, loves problem‑solving, and wants to develop real expertise in personal injury law.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Investigating and gathering evidence to determine whether cases should proceed to litigation.
  • Preparing files for issue, including assessing merits, obtaining liability evidence, securing medical reports, and instructing experts.
  • Managing a high‑volume caseload with accuracy, organisation, and confidence.
  • Taking clear, detailed instructions from clients, witnesses, experts, and union partners.
  • Making informed decisions under supervision, using sound judgment and strong analytical skills.
  • Working efficiently within a KPI framework and recording time accurately.
  • Using a case management system to produce your own work and stay fully self‑sufficient.

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a legal environment.
  • Strong client‑care skills and confidence communicating by phone or in person.
  • Knowledge of PI law, Pre‑Action Protocols, CPR, and funding (or the ability to learn quickly).
  • The ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage a busy caseload.
  • Excellent drafting, numeracy, and written communication skills.
