What You’ll Do
Craft compelling newscasts: Build and produce high-impact newscasts that align with our brand and meet our high newsroom standards for quality and accuracy.
Own the "Big Story": Use your solid news judgment to identify what matters most to our Phoenix audience and showcase it with creativity and urgency.
Drive multi-platform engagement: It’s not just about the linear broadcast; you’ll ensure our stories live and breathe across digital, streaming, and social platforms.
Master the tools: Leverage our deep well of resources from advanced graphics to high-end video to create visually stunning segments that pop off the screen.
Lead with immediacy: Work with a relentless sense of urgency, making quick, decisive calls to keep our coverage first and best.
Collaborate like a pro: Partner with reporters, anchors, and photographers to execute a cohesive vision for every show, every day.

Qualifications:

What You Bring
The Experience: You have at least two years of line producing experience, preferably in a competitive market where the stakes are high.
Killer Writing Skills: You write for the ear and the eye, crafting scripts that are conversational, urgent, and editorially sound.
Digital-First Mindset: You understand that our audience lives on their phones as much as their TVs, and you know how to reach them there.
Critical Thinking: You don’t just follow a plan; you analyze, adapt, and take calculated risks to make the coverage better.
Decisiveness: You can make big calls in the heat of the moment without breaking a sweat.
The Credentials: A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, or equivalent real-world experience that has prepared you for the grind.
