Perform a wide variety of metal fabricating and welding operations, both manual and robotic requiring the use of mig, tig, and stick as well as acetylene welding equipment and a variety of hand tools, measuring instruments, and other required clamps, jigs, fixtures, etc. Machinery that maybe used includes Bandsaws, Drill Presses, Milling Machines, etc.

- Must be able to use and interpret drawings and specifications
- Sets-up, adjusts, and operates welding and fabricating equipment
- Uses clamps, scribes, braces, hoist, and other holding devices when needed
- Welds in all positions as required
- Selects the proper voltage, amperage, and gas pressures to secure the required strength, proper penetration, and joint of welded elements
- Operates sanders and grinders as necessary to finish work
- Aligns and positions parts for proper functioning and to maintain levelness, concentricity, and parallelism
- Checks work and make corrections and adjustments as required
- Maintains quality and quantity standards.
- Detects faulty operations and defective materials
- Maintains equipment in the proper manner
- Maintains required production and other types of records, as required
- Observes and obey all safety rules, practices and procedures
- Wears and employs all safety equipment and items
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner
- Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested
