Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Housekeeper / EVS Technician to support night shift operations on an as-needed basis. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment throughout the hospital in accordance with prescribed infection prevention and safety procedures.
Essential Functions
- Cleans assigned areas such as the lobby, Emergency Room, Medical Records, bathrooms, and other designated locations.
- Germicides countertops, bathrooms, and high-touch surfaces; removes trash; dust mops and damp mops floors; and places “Wet Floor” signs as required.
- Cleans discharged patient rooms according to EVS protocols, including:
- Spot-cleaning walls
- Washing furniture and beds with germicide
- Cleaning mirrors, sinks, toilets, tubs/showers, televisions, doors, drapes, and fixtures
- Making beds with clean linens
- Dusting, damp mopping, and vacuuming
- Notifies the nurse’s station when patient rooms are cleaned and ready for new admissions.
- Performs daily patient room cleaning, including trash removal, high dusting, germiciding surfaces, and floor care.
- Reports broken furniture, maintenance needs, or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor promptly.
- Labor & Delivery Area: Wears scrub attire and performs terminal cleaning by germiciding walls, floors, tables, equipment, and light fixtures; removes excess water from floors as needed.
- Responds appropriately to department pages and service requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned, maintaining a positive, cooperative, and team-oriented attitude.

Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read and write.
- Prior institutional housekeeping experience preferred.
- Must be able to perform short cycle, repetitive duties under specific instruction.
