Job Description

Position Summary:

The Project Manager assists the SVP in the refurbishing, remodeling, and maintenance of all facilities owned and/or operated by WestCare and all related entities. The position will include extensive travel-local, regional and out-of-state, requiring overnight stays. This person is also responsible for interviewing, hiring and supervising construction workers as well as overseeing internal staff. Essential Job Functions include:

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Interviews, negotiates rates of pay, and hires construction workers as needed for projects, and supervises the work of assigned construction workers;
  • Supervises assigned staff and contractors  staff under the direction of the Deputy Administrator;
  • Determines methods, type of materials, supplies, machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for all construction projects;
  • Provides assistance to the Senior Vice President of Facilities in new construction, refurbishing, and remodeling of all facilities owned and/or operated by WestCare and all related entities;
  • Plans and manages the facility operation budgets;
  • Interprets and implements management policies and directives to ensure that the Foundation’s operational and business goals are achieved;
  • Solicits and reviews responses to RFPs; making recommendations to the SVP of Facilities regarding proposals;
  • Identifies and collects pertinent data for analysis and creates statistical spreadsheets and reports relating to special projects;
  • Respond to concerns regarding facilities maintenance and safety issues by developing action plans and making recommendations;
  • Prepares and submits reports concerning compliance with State and Federal safety regulations, fire codes, employee safety training, and facility maintenance;
  • Makes regular site visits to assigned WestCare facilities, including local, regional, and out-of-state locations;
  • Attends all necessary meetings and trainings to gather information needed to satisfy WestCare facility needs;
  • Develops and maintains all appropriate files, records, and documents;
  • Maintains compliance with all lease and contractual expectations in relation to facility operations;
  • Works harmoniously with WestCare Foundation parties, including Finance, Human Resources, Professional Services, Office of the General Counsel, etc.;
  • Embrace and embodies the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation;
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
