    Art Teacher for Torrington Intermediate School (Grades 4-6). Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid State of Connecticut teaching certificate with appropriate elementary endorsement.. 

    The Intermediate School Art teacher is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, standards-based visual arts instruction that nurtures creativity, artistic skills, and self-expression. They develop lessons that introduce a variety of media and techniques while encouraging critical thinking and appreciation of the arts. The teacher also maintains a safe, organized studio environment, assesses student progress, and collaborates with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and student growth.


    Torrington Public Schools personnel qualified for, certified for, and interested in transferring into the above must apply by midnight on March 23, 2026. 

    Anticipated vacancy for the 2026/2027 school year, subject to available funding.
