The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.
Motivation , patience and ambition are just a few of the qualities we look for in staff, who will support the fun and self-willed men and women who reside at the McGiffert residence. The house, which is located in the town of Catskill, has a beautiful backyard view of a bird sanctuary, which is only a short walk away.
A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.
HOURS: 35/Sunday 10:00 am to 10:00 pm/Monday & Tuesday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm/Thursday 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm
STARTING SALARY: $ 18.26 to $ 20.09 per hour, with additional shift differentials as applicable
