Job Description

We are seeking a high-impact Quality Manager to lead our quality department and serve as the primary architect of our quality culture. In this role, you won't just be maintaining systems; you'll be driving a fundamental shift in how quality is perceived and executed across the organisation. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring that excellence is baked into our products from supplier intake to customer delivery.You'll be joining our X-ray Division based in Royston, where we focus on designing and building advanced X-ray inspection systems used in food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries to help detect contaminants and ensure product quality.What You'll DoManage, develop, and inspire a team of Quality Technicians and a Quality Specialist.Act as a primary driver for improvement, evolving the company culture from "compliance-focused" to a "Zero Defect" mindset.Assist in the cultural deployment of the SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People) process to ensure quality is a pillar of daily operational performance.Proactively challenge existing quality controls to improve their effectiveness and the robustness of their deployment.Work alongside operations staff to establish rigorous procedures, standards, and systems of work.Ensure all machines and sub-modules consistently meet defined quality standards before and during production.Lead the organisation in tracking internal Quality issues, ensuring exemplary and timely documentation via SAP Quality Notifications.Identify process improvements and implement preventive actions to mitigate risks before they impact the customer.Provide high-level reports articulating trends, performance levels, and the progress of strategic quality initiatives.
