About the Department
Responsible for assisting the Engineering Services and Utilities Departments.
Position Duties
- Engineering related estimates and computers.
- Review of engineering and utility plans.
- Inspection/construction documentation and record keeping.
- Assist staff with GIS system and functions.
- Computer modeling, drafting, and design, including with AutoCAD and other engineering software.
- Environmental lab work.
- Surveying and field inspections.
- Water and Wastewater plant operation.
- Office duties as required.
- Ability to sit, stand and move about a building.
- Ability to observe, read, and interpret written materials and construction drawings.
- Employee will be exposed to seasonal temperatures while making field inspections or projects.
- May occasionally be required to lift and carry test equipment or similar items.
Minimum Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work in person at the designated workplace location.
- Must be available to commute to and work on-site during regular business hours.
- Civil Engineering Student or related field of study.
- High school graduate pursuing an engineering degree.

Must have housing in the Midland/Odessa region and reliable transportation.
