JOB SUMMARY:

Receiving team members are responsible for the accurate and efficient receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming materials, supplies, and product. Team members are expected to follow all safety protocols, utilize Oracle and handheld scanners for inventory tracking and documentation, participate in department meetings, communicate effectively with internal departments, and remain flexible to support changing business needs.

 

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Unload deliveries and inspect incoming materials for damage, accuracy, and quality.

• Accurately document all receipts into inventory or production systems following company procedures.

• Collaborate with purchasing, quality, and production departments to resolve discrepancies or issues with shipments.

• Label, tag, and properly stage materials for storage or use in production.

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to safely move materials.

• Support Cabinetworks Operating System (COS) priorities of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

• Maintain a clean and organized receiving area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.

• Follow Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.

• Using the Oracle system and handheld scanners to accurately record inventory transactions, track materials, and verify incoming shipments in real time.

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Knowledge of safe material handling and warehouse practices.

• Must be able to operate PIVs.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in receiving documentation.

• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with various departments.

• Familiarity with inventory systems or basic computer use is a plus.

• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and stooping.

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 lbs.

• Overtime may be required, including some weekends.

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed
