JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains assigned manufacturing related equipment throughout the facility in accordance with standard procedures, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs a wide variety of skilled work across multiple-functions and operations of the preventive maintenance system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on facility, production, and utility equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Lead complex maintenance tasks and serve as a technical expert for equipment diagnostics and repairs.
• Interpret and work from schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Respond to equipment failures and emergency maintenance situations, ensuring safe and timely resolution.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, commissioning, and decommissioning activities.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and on the job training to junior maintenance technicians.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, inspections, parts usage, and equipment history in the CMMS.
• Identify root causes of recurring issues and recommend corrective actions or equipment improvements.
• Assist with spare parts management, inventory control, and vendor coordination.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to reliability, safety, and cost reduction.
• Participate in capital projects, shutdowns, and audits as required.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
• A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications:
• Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field.
Years Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical systems, with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
• Proficient in reading, interpreting, and applying schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and drawings to troubleshoot and support system improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze non routine problems, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective actions using sound engineering and maintenance principles.
• Experienced in the safe operation of forklifts and other powered industrial equipment, including providing guidance on proper use and safety practices.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment, adapt to changing priorities, and provide technical direction or mentorship to less experienced technicians.
• Strong customer service mindset with the ability to professionally support internal stakeholders, communicate technical information clearly, and build positive working relationships.
• Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $36/hour- $46/hour.
