Job Description

Louisburg High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our coaching staff as an Assistant Football Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work with student-athletes in a supportive and competitive environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of football fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering the personal and athletic development of high school students.

LOUISBURG SCHOOL DISTRICT
Title Supplemental Assistant Coach
Purpose The Supplemental Assistant Coach promotes an appreciation of education, physical
fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The assistant coach works closely with the
head coach, other staff and administration of USD 416.
Supervision Athletic Director and Principal
Payment Rate As per the USD 416 Master Agreement, Supplemental Salary Schedule
Required
Qualifications ● Health and Inoculation Certification on file in the central office
● Have a valid driver’s license, be able to drive, and qualify under the district’s
insurance carrier when driving a district vehicle
● Desire to continue career improvement through ongoing staff development,
etc.

● Requires prolonged sitting or standing
● Occasionally requires physical exertion to manually move, life, carry, pull, or
push heavy objects or materials up to 20 lbs
● Requires occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, turning and reaching.
● Must occasionally work in noisy and crowded environments, with numerous
interruptions.
● Must work indoors and outdoors year round.
● Requires timeless and regular attendance and/or physical presence at the
job

Responsibilities
● Supervise the students assigned to the program associated to the
supplemental assignment
● Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and
community
● Ensure that all athletic activities conform to KSHSAA guidelines
● Ability to perform and follow all district health and safety policies, including
all precautions of the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan
● Work effectively with the athletic director, head coach, administration and
other staff members
● React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned
● Support the value of an education
● Support the philosophy and vision of USD 416

● Coordination and supervision of the program and team
● Help students achieve gains in athletic skill and team performance
● Adhere to rules and regulations of KSHSAA and the Frontier League as
directed by the Athletic Director
● Ensure that student athletes adhere to training rules, lettering policies,
grade requirements, and rules of behavior
● Ensure the continual supervision of student athletes on the field, in
conditioning, and in locker and shower rooms.
● Ensure that health and safety precautions are observed during all activities
● Immediately report all major injuries incurred during practice sessions or
competition to the head coach, athletic director or principal
● See that district policies are observed during all activities
