Position Overview
As a Source Inspector, you will travel to supplier facilities to perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections on precision-manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies. Using your expertise, you will verify compliance with engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, and industry specifications. Your inspection results will be reported directly to the customer via a web-based application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-process and final inspections on machined parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies
- Inspect parts per engineering drawings, ANSI Y14.5 GD&T, AS9102, and other relevant standards
- Use precision mechanical inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102
- Report inspection findings directly to the customer via a web-based platform
What You Bring:
- Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standards.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) and engineering requirements
- Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings and purchase orders (POs)
- Experience with mechanical inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- 1099 Contractor (Must have an LLC or be willing to obtain one)
