The Onsite Maintenance Technician II will perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of a building in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting; HVAC maintenance; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. 
2. Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams. 
3. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. 
4. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. 
5. Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, machinery, or equipment. 
6. Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. 
7. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. 
8. Inspect motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters.

Position Supervised or Directed:

Reports to Maintenance Manager. 

Qualifications, Experience requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Basic knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, hydraulics and HVAC.

General Requirements:

• Able to travel to other divisions when required. 
• Detailed and hands-on oriented.
