About the Role 



At ACES, the role of the RBT Manager is vital in ensuring the implementation of high-quality behavior analysis services. They provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to ensure the delivery of evidence-based interventions and adherence to treatment plans.  



Through ongoing training and support, the RBT Manager fosters professional growth and development, ensuring that our team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on the lives of the individuals we serve. With their expertise and leadership, the RBT Manager plays a critical role in upholding our commitment to delivering exceptional care to our patients and their families. 



Objectives and Key Results 



Objective: Focus on improving the effectiveness of the hiring process to build stronger teams and ensure long-term fit within the organization.  





  • Key Result 1: Improve the team hiring success rate to a minimum of 60% through adherence to the ACES Hiring Process.  







  • Key Result 2: Actively involve hiring managers in the recruitment process to ensure better alignment between candidates and the organizational culture, maintaining a 90-day retention rate of 75% for all new hires.  







  • Key Result 3: Leverage data-driven insights to refine selection strategies, ensuring a continually optimized hiring approach, completing a root cause analysis on every turnover under 90 days. 





Objective: Provide new hires with the tools, resources, and support needed to succeed in their roles, fostering long-term retention and engagement.  





  • Key Result 1: Implement a comprehensive onboarding program in collaboration with the learning and development department to provide new hires with necessary resources, support, and training, resulting in a 90-day retention rate of at least 75% by month 6.  







  • Key Result 2: Conduct no less than 1 direct observation each month, 1 one-to-one at least bi-weekly, and performance evaluations during the first year to identify and address any concerns or challenges faced by new hires, aiming for a 15% increase in 6-month retention rates by 1 year.  







  • Key Result 3: Identify and deliver tailored training programs to upskill new employees, promoting confidence and job satisfaction, and improving retention metrics across teams. 





 



Objective: Demonstrate leadership and commitment to client success by personally delivering high-quality services and maintaining clinical standards.  





  • Key Result 1: Dedicate 40-60 hours per month to direct client service, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and client needs.

Duties and Responsibilities 



The role of an RBT Manager at ACES encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities aimed at ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services. Some key responsibilities of an RBT Manager include: 





  1. Supervising Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs): The RBT Manager oversees the work of BTs and RBTs, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure adherence to best practices and the implementation of effective behavior intervention plans. 







  1. Enhancing Training and Professional Development: The RBT Manager is responsible for enhancing the efficiency of Behavior Skills Training by implementing standardized training modules and providing ongoing support and feedback to behavior technicians. They facilitate continuous professional development to ensure that BTs and RBTs stay up to date with the latest evidence-based practices. 







  1. Recruitment and Selection: The RBT Manager is involved in the recruitment process, refining candidate screening criteria, conducting thorough interviews, and evaluating potential candidates' fit with the organizational culture to ensure the best possible match. They will leverage data-driven insights to refine selection strategies, ensuring a continually optimized hiring approach, completing a root cause analysis on every turnover under 90 days. 







  1. Conducting Assessments and Evaluations: The RBT Manager oversees the structured and comprehensive assessment process for Job Scorecard Assessments and RBT Competency Initial & Renewals. They ensure consistent evaluation and feedback, enabling behavior technicians to improve their overall performance and competence. 







  1. Auditing RBT Logs and Ensuring Certification Maintenance: The RBT Manager is responsible for regularly auditing RBT logs to ensure accurate and precise documentation of all services provided. They also monitor certification statuses, ensuring that all RBTs maintain up-to-date credentials and comply with regulatory and ethical standards established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
