Job Description

Location:  Lewiston; 1 RiverSide Drive, Lewiston, MN 55952



Remote Work:  This position is required to work onsite every day for the first 90-days.  After 90-days, this position can work remote 1 day of each work week.  4 days of each work week is required to work onsite at the Lewiston facility.  



Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day between the hours of 7:00am-5:00pm



Position Status: Full-Time

The Team:

This role is a part of the Human Resource team. The team works with and supports all other departments in the organization including the full network of companies: RiverSide Integrated Solutions, JMW Enterprises, and CCSI. 



 



The Role:



The Payroll & Benefits Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and administration of employee benefits programs. This position ensures compliance with company policies, federal and state regulations, and supports employees with payroll and benefit-related inquiries. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and a customer-service mindset.



 



You will spend your time:




  • Processing biweekly payroll for 300 coworkers (non-exempt & exempt) via HRIS system (Paycom)

  • Resolving payroll discrepancies

  • Ensuring accurate calculation of wages, overtime, shift differentials, and other earnings

  • Maintaining payroll records and employee data in the HRIS/payroll system

  • Overseeing employment verification, unemployment audits, wage garnishments/levies

  • Conducting regular compensation audits

  • Processing new hires, terminations, pay changes, garnishments, and deductions

  • Processing W-2 forms and 1095s for employees at the end of each calendar year

  • Administering day to day activities of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending plan, 401(k) plan and retirement plan)

  • Educating employees on benefit eligibility and benefits per plan documents

  • Auditing benefit enrollment elections and deductions

  • Preparing and maintaining benefit communications, surveys and information material

  • Administering leave (FMLA, MN Paid Leave, Worker Compensation)  

  • Administering workers compensation claims and communicating with third party administrator to manage claims

  • Answering employee inquiries

  • Working on other projects or duties as assigned
