Salary: $21.55/hour - Salary is Negotiable (Employees will receive 5% below the negotiated pay rate during their probationary status.)

Responsible ToField Supervisor

Summary: Under the direction of the Field Supervisor, the incumbent performs skill technical work in the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of the Oneida Nation’s water distribution, groundwater, wastewater collection, and treatment systems. This position helps protect public health and the environment by ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and tribal regulations. Responsibilities include system monitoring, preventative and corrective maintenance, sampling, documentation, and emergency response. Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocations

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants please clearly state how you meet these qualifications on the application/resume.

  • Must be an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation.
  • Associate’s Degree in Water/Wastewater Technology, Environmental Science, or closely related technical field.
  • Trenching and shoring competent person training required within one (1) year of employment.
  • Confined Space Entry certification required within one (1) year of employment.

  1. Water and Wastewater Certification are required and must be obtained within two (2) years of employment: 
  2. Water Certifications Requirements: WDNR Waterworks Certification and Groundwater Certification 
  3. Wastewater Certifications Requirements: WDNR Basic Wastewater Certification, Collection Systems Subclass
