Job Description

Mouser's Canada Branch is located in Catalyst 137, Kitchener, Ontario 

Customer Development are sales and account management positions responsible for driving incremental sales growth within assigned accounts through relationship marketing and identification of new and creative strategic opportunities for further partnership. Customer Development will also track the progress within accounts and work with leadership to determine the appropriate growth strategy and activity for each account. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Effectively and creatively communicates Mouser’s overall value to customers.
  • Increase sales from existing assigned customer accounts by locating and identifying new business opportunities and building rapport and relationship with key decision makers.
  • Work with Customer Service Representatives and Management to penetrate shared Customer Development accounts more deeply.
  • Interacts effectively and professionally with others and able to initiate, establish and maintain highly effective business relationships with internal and external business contacts of various cultures. Able to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close sales while maintaining established sales goals with existing customers.
  • Follow up on customer submitted requests for quotation.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Plans and analyzes the impact of decisions before execution. Expand product knowledge utilizing all available sources

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years business to business sales experience required. For internal candidates, experience can be a combination of internal and external experience.                                                                                                                                                                     

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Desire and ability to build customer relationships with a very outgoing and mature personality
  • Highly organized with very effective time management skills
  • Possesses the highest level of ethics and integrity
  • Detailed and thorough in work habits including detailed documentation
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to effectively present information to a group of people at all levels. Presentations may be done with virtual or on-site meetings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - equally strong listening skills
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals
  • Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures
  • Ability to verbalize and express themselves well in a telephone environment with a clear enunciation of local language and English
  • Must be internet savvy and familiar with Internet E-Commerce. PC experience in a Microsoft Windows environment, proficient with internet e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software. Experience with CRM (Salesforce) software is preferred
  • Ability to read and understand a terminal/PC screen and printed reports
