JOB DESCRIPTION AND WORKER CHARACTERISTICS:
JOB DUTIES in order of importance
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: For purposes of 42 USC 12101: CITY OF FREMONT
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Employee Name: Position Title: Cadet

(1) Successfully attends and completes within six (6) months all assigned Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) courses, programs, sessions and meets all requirements of that program; follows all rules of academy.
(2) Performs assigned office work.
(5) Attends meetings as directed; attends conferences, training, workshops and seminars, as directed; maintains required licensure or certification, if any.
(6) Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable safety standards that pertain to essential functions.
(7) Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance; works rotating shift; may work second shift/third shift.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(1) Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- Citizen of the United State of America, have a valid permanent resident card, or have intention to become a United States Citizen

- Must be or agree to become upon appointment, a resident of Sandusky County or a county adjacent

- Applicants must be of a good character and have no record of a felony conviction

- Applicants should have a valid driver’s license

- Applicants must have attained the age of twenty-one (21) on or before the date of appointment
