Title: Inventory Control Technician

Reports to: Inventory Control Manager

 

Position Overview

The Inventory Control Technician supports the Inventory Control Manager by monitoring inventory levels required for ongoing production and ensuring materials are replenished as needed throughout the plant.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage inventory levels in coordination with the Purchasing Manager.
  • Receive, review, and fulfill all customer pick lists.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Sales to ensure sufficient inventory is available to complete customer orders.
  • Deliver finished goods to appropriate departments as required.

 

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Detail-oriented, thorough, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective organizational skills.

 

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a manufacturing plant setting and occasionally outdoors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, heavy machinery, and vibration. Noise levels may be loud at times, and the use of hearing protection is required.

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear and frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, operate hand tools, twist and pull with hands and wrists, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally be required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on production demands.
