About High Scale

We’re High Scale — a future-focused, data-obsessed agency revolutionizing video advertising on TV and social media. Imagine Amazon’s obsession with metrics meeting SpaceX’s audacious ambition—that’s the DNA behind everything we do.

Our 120-person team of creatives, directors, editors, and strategists produces thousands of videos each week for the world’s top lifestyle, fashion, beauty, food, and DTC brands. With 50,000 sq. ft. of DTLA studios, 30+ sets, and a global network of creators, High Scale is growing fast—and we need a Videographer who can capture compelling, performance-driven content at scale.

Why This Role Matters

Video is the core of everything we produce. Your work directly fuels campaigns seen by millions across TikTok, Meta, YouTube, Amazon, and TV.

As our Videographer, you’ll be responsible for capturing visually powerful, brand-aligned footage that performs. You’ll partner with creative strategists, directors, set designers, and talent to bring ideas to life with precision, speed, and creative flair.

Your footage doesn’t just tell stories—it drives results.

What You’ll Do

1. Capture High-Quality Video Content

  • Film product, lifestyle, beauty, fashion, food, and social content.

  • Execute a range of shooting styles—from fast-paced UGC to cinematic brand stories.

  • Ensure consistent visual quality across lighting, framing, movement, and performance.

2. Collaborate With Creative & Production Teams

  • Work with creative strategists and directors to execute shot lists and creative briefs.

  • Provide input during pre-production on visual direction, lighting setups, and gear choices.

  • Adjust shooting style in real time based on performance data, creative needs, or client direction.

3. Execute Lighting & Camera Setup

  • Set up lighting for various environments (studio, on-location, natural light).

  • Choose lenses, rigs, stabilizers, and accessories needed for each concept.

  • Optimize camera settings for social-first, vertical, 4K, slow motion, and other formats.

4. Ensure On-Set Efficiency

  • Capture content quickly, cleanly, and with precision—especially for high-volume shoots.

  • Maintain continuity across takes and scenes.

  • Troubleshoot technical challenges on the fly.

5. Innovate & Elevate Creative Output

  • Experiment with pacing, framing, movement, and shot techniques that increase engagement.

  • Identify trends in content creation and bring fresh ideas to the table.

  • Push the visual boundaries of social-first advertising.

Who You Are

1. Experienced Videographer

  • 3–7 years shooting commercial, social media, or branded content.

  • Proficient with professional cameras (Sony, Canon, Blackmagic, etc.).

  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of social-first video work.

2. Fast, Creative & Agile

  • Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced studio environments.

  • Able to adapt instantly to creative direction and evolving project needs.

3. Technical & Detail-Oriented

  • Strong understanding of lighting, composition, color, and motion.

  • Comfortable troubleshooting gear, optimizing setups, and ensuring consistent quality.

4. Collaborative & Communicative

  • Work well with directors, talent, stylists, and production leads.

  • Can translate creative direction into high-impact footage without hand-holding.

5. Results-Driven

  • Understand how video performance influences engagement and KPIs.

  • Shoot with strategic intent—not just aesthetics.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: $40,000-$70,000/year

  • Growth Opportunities: Work across beauty, fashion, food, lifestyle, and top-tier DTC brand campaigns.

  • Studio Resources: Access to world-class sets, equipment, lighting, and production teams.

  • Relentless Innovation Culture: Join a team that creates at scale, experiments constantly, and pushes the boundaries of social content every day.
