Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities  





  • Ensure patients and patient care areas are prepared for examinations and procedures 







  • Assist providers with all aspects of direct patient care with training and demonstrated competency. 




  • Performs procedures and other tasks involved in patient care.  




  • Performs venipuncture to collect patient laboratory specimens







  • Other tasks involved in patient care, such as messages, referrals, and scanning. 




  • Provide regular front-office support by greeting the public, answering the telephone, checking in/registering patients, checking out/scheduling follow up appointments and collecting payments. Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient information. Maintains, copies and files patient records and charts.





 



Qualifications 



Clinical Assistant  





  • HSD or GED are required. 







  • Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience preferred. 





Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) 





  • Medical Assistant certification by AAMA, NHA, AMT or NCCT is required. 







  • Must be a graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by the National Healthcare Association, or its successor; by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or its successor; by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or its successor; or by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. The accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program must include courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical laboratory techniques, and clinical experience.  





Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
