The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is seeking a full-time Mechanic Automotive to join our national award-winning Fleet Team. This position is responsible for the skilled mechanical maintenance, inspection, repair and diagnosis of the district's equipment and alternative fuel light duty vehicles and will work within a state-of-the-art workshop and garage located in West Chicago, IL.
Compensation & Benefits
Rate of pay $28.79 - $32.40 per hour, dependent on experience.

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled mechanic with 1-3 years of related experience as an automotive mechanic with knowledge and experience of alternative fuel and electric drive train and specialized turf maintenance equipment and machinery. Candidates with experience with small equipment and lawn mowers highly desired.
Schedule
Monday - Friday 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
