The #1 Priority of this position is… 

To assist the Activities & Entertainment Director in executing the residents’ activity program, lead group activities and visit residents to complete their Activity Profile. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities   

  • Assist the Director in decorating the building for all parties, holidays and special events.

  • Follow the daily activities schedule and carry-out the assigned planned activities and events.

  • Maintain an ongoing inventory of departmental supplies and equipment.

  • General housekeeping duties in activity areas and supply closets.

  • Be aware of conditions that may interfere with the safety and well-being of residents while in activities.

  • Assist the Director by interviewing residents based on their activities profile and input the information into the CRM.


Qualifications
         

  • Experience in recreation setting preferred.

  • Experience in party planning and carrying out social and recreational programs.

  • Must be creative and have appropriate input in creating new activities for the program.

  • Performance experience is preferred, such as singing or dancing.

  • Must have a high school degree or equivalent.

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Spanish preferred.

  • Must have basic knowledge of a variety of activities and exhibit the ability to give instructions to others.

  • Flexible as to work schedule. Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations.

  • Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task.

  • Exhibit an enthusiastic and friendly personality that has aptitude for working with a variety of people.

  • Must be comfortable with working with older individuals and be able to motivate them in participating in the programs.
