What We’re Looking For:
A detail-oriented Network Engineer with strong LAN/WAN support and troubleshooting expertise
Minimum three years of experience installing and configuring routers and switches
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Technology or a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Cisco certification required (CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, or similar)
Strong knowledge of IP networking, network design concepts, and supporting equipment Working knowledge of:
Cisco data network components Nexus 7000, Catalyst 6500, 4500, 3560, 3750, etc
Cisco UCS B and C Series server management
Wireless networking Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Access Points
Network design concepts
SolarWinds Network monitoring and maintenance tool
IP, voice and LAN/WAN services Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Unity Connection
IGP Routing protocols such as EIGRP and OSPF
Cabling infrastructure
Experience working in a healthcare environment preferred
Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
Experience with Cisco networking products, wireless networking, and network monitoring tools

What You Will Do:
Responsible for maintaining and supporting local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN). This role includes planning, evaluation, configuration, acquisition, design, installation, testing, maintenance, and coordination of network systems. The Network Engineer II supports day-to-day network operations, troubleshoots network issues, and coordinates with vendors for network-related equipment installations.
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
Plan, design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure
Support and troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues
Coordinate with vendors for installation, maintenance, and upgrades of network equipment
Perform project planning, solution design, cost analysis, and vendor comparisons
Integrate network systems and implement ongoing modifications and enhancements
Support IP, voice, and LAN/WAN services
Maintain network security and reliability in a healthcare environment
Monitor and maintain network performance using network monitoring tools
Maintain knowledge of current networking technologies and healthcare IT standards
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational safety requirements
Perform all other duties as assigned
