Our parts department plays a critical role in dealership profitability and fixed operations success. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Parts Manager to lead department operations, support service production, and help drive continued growth at Steven Ford.
About the Position
The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing all parts department operations including inventory management, departmental profitability, vendor relationships, and internal service support. This position works closely with service leadership and dealership management to ensure operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and strong customer support.
This is a leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment and understands the importance of process, accountability, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
● Oversee daily operations of the parts department
● Manage inventory levels, ordering, returns, and obsolescence control
● Maintain accurate inventory records and reconciliation processes
● Support service department production and technician efficiency
● Monitor departmental gross profit, expenses, and operational performance
● Develop and maintain vendor and manufacturer relationships
● Lead, train, and support parts department personnel
● Ensure parts are billed, stocked, and distributed accurately and efficiently
● Maintain clean, organized, and professional department operations
● Work closely with fixed operations leadership to improve departmental performance
Qualifications
● Previous automotive parts management experience required
● Strong understanding of dealership parts operations and inventory control
● Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) preferred
● Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
● Ability to analyze departmental performance and profitability
● Ability to multitask and lead in a fast-paced environment
● Valid driver’s license required
Compensation
$50,000 – $100,000 annually based on experience, departmental performance, and profitability
Schedule
● Full-time position
● Schedule based on operational business needs
