Summary
Assists the Pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for oral, rectal, topical and injectable use; mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow hood; types labels, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties.
Qualifications
• Required
o High school diploma or equivalent
o Current State of Nevada Pharmacy Technician License
o Successful completion of competencies in sterile compounding and chemotherapy
o Basic computer knowledge
o Automated pharmacy systems knowledge
o Sterile Compounding knowledge, including hazardous drugs, or willingness to learn
• Preferred
o Five (5) years previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting
o Pharmacy Technician National Certification
